Hi again!
It just seems like yesterday that I arrived back from Jr.
Pan Ams in Santo Domingo. I had a lot of fun , and am pretty
happy with my performances. It was also fun to go to Bela
Karolyi' s Ranch in Houston. We spent a lot of time with the
American team and got to know each other quite well. On the
first day of competition (in Santo Domingo) on my floor
routine, the music stopped right before my last line! And on
the third day of competition, the power went out twice! When
I got home it took a few days to adjust to the colder
climate here! (It was 32 degrees daily in Dominican
Republic!) But I'm very happy to be home with my family and
friends. I was able to do lighter training for a little
while after getting back, but now its back to full routines!
In 10 days me and my teammate Laura-Ann and of course
Vladimir, leave for Elite Canada in Gatineau, Quebec. It
could be very cold there.
I am very excited for the upcoming December! My birthday is
in 22 days and Christmas is in 31 days! I also am excited to
see the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. When
I get back from Elite Canada, I have lots of Christmas
shopping to do and lots of cards to send. I'm going to
decorate my room and house for Christmas and I'm very
excited. It is a tradition in my family to get a very large
tree and decorate it with silver, white and gold.
Early in the New Year, I will have more of an idea about my
schedule of competitions for this season.
Talk to you soon!
-Gael
